Reference 1578 comes with spider lugs and was produced between 1943 and 1962. The case is in crisp condition showing clean hallmarks, and the watch offered with a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming its production and subsequent sale in 1949. Still bearing the 'Patek Philippe & Co, Genève' signature, this example must be one of the last watches that left the manufacture with the old spelling, which was shortened to 'Patek Philippe, Genève' during that time.
