Named after co-founder Jules Audemars, the present manual winding grande sonnerie showcases the more traditional side of Audemars Piguet. The elegant 39 mm white gold pebble-shaped case conceals the caliber 2891, which boasts the 'Carillon' grande sonnerie function as well as a dynamograph and power reserve indication. Carillon means that the repeating of the quarter hours is done on at least three gongs, thus enhancing the sound of it.
The alternations of brushed and polished surfaces to the case contribute to a more modern look while the beautifully crafted movement can be examined via the sapphire crystal display back. The present example has been preserved in very attractive condition with strong hallmarks on the side of the lugs, and it is further offered as a full set including its Certificate of Origin and the rare piano-shaped resonance case for chime wristwatches.
