Produced between 1948 and 1969, the Caliber 135 was at the forefront of Zenith's quest for timing precision. The chronometer movement was thoroughly set by the brand's most experienced watchmakers to win prizes at the Neuchatel Observatory between 1950 and 1955.

The watch itself stands as one of the most innovative designs of the era, incorporating unique lugs which overlap the strap on the sides. Its thick 36mm case conceals a complex lacquered dial featuring gold indexes and a set of unique matching hands.

Preserved in very good condition, the present watch was gifted to its original owner on November 1, 1958, meaning its cal. 135 belongs to the second iteration for this movement. This lot is a rare opportunity to acquire a rare watch, furthermore fitted with its original crown and hands.
