This watch was produced at the end of the 1970s at the height of the Quartz Crisis and fittingly it comes with an additional quartz movement and corresponding dial. At the time, it occasionally happened that the buyer of an automatic watch suddenly realized the benefits of the more accurate battery-driven movement and subsequently opted to purchase an additional quartz movement that could be swapped with the automatic movement.
The present lot is retained in attractive condition with sharp angles and is further offered with its Certificate of Origin from 1979.
