IWC released the present limited edition Portuguese in 2005 as a tribute to the brand's founder: F.A Jones. The piece was offered in three distinct limited series as follows: 3000 pieces in stainless steel, 1000 gold pieces and 500 pieces in platinum, such as the present example.
The traditional dial is complemented by the 43 mm case boasts the traditional Portuguese proportions, concealing the traditionally pocket-watch inspired 18-jewel caliber 98290, visible through the sapphire crystal display.
