Rolex introduced a handful of new GMT-Master II’s during Baselworld 2018 including, for the first time, one cased in 18-karat Everose gold (alongside a ‘Rolesor’ model in Oystersteel and Everose gold). Here, The case is the maxi sized 40mm with a bidirectional rotating Cerachrom bezel graduated with a 24-hour scale. This bezel design is a knowing hat tip to the root beer GMT’s of the 1970’s which are undergoing renascence in collector circles. Behind the dial, Rolex updated the movement (cal. 3285) of the GMT increasing the power reserve from about 50 hours to 70.
