Movement: gilded, lever escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, repeating on coiled gongs, signed and numbered French, Royal Exchange, London, No. 5683

Dial: silvered guilloché, Roman numerals, blued steel hands

Case: 18ct gold, engine-turned back, piston in pendant for repeat, gold cuvette with inscription: 'Return to Sir David Salomans, Broomhill, Tunbridge Wells', case maker's mark LC
