Sauternes, 1er Grand Cru Classé

u. 2bn, 5vts, 3 labels very lightly soiled, 3 very lightly soiled and slightly nicked, 2 slightly stained and slightly nicked, 1 capsule with signs of old seepage, 3 corks slightly depressed, 1 of which capsule slightly damaged on top, several bottles with remnants of tissue stuck on

The harvest this year all came in from the second wave of picking. In 2014, such raisiny splendour, all apricots and sultanas, plus rich, creamy texture and a glorious walnut finish. The perfect comparison with the powerful 1975 - a judgement of Paris! Serena Sutcliffe, MW
