LAM SIU LEUNG 林兆良 | DA JIU FESTIVAL 太平清醮

Whenever watching a dragon dance, Siu Leung would recall memories of celebrating festivals with his family. The colourful appearance and rhythmic performance would make him feel excited.

In this artwork, Siu Leung took Da Jiu Festival as a subject matter and included the colourful floats in the parade, lion dance and the bun tower in his painting, wishing the viewers a healthy and peaceful life. The vivid and radiant composition of Siu Leung's artwork invite viewers immerse into this celebratory moment.

Established in 2010, TWGHs i-dArt believes art is a barrier-free common language, and aims to encourage more people with different abilities to participate in art so as to promote social inclusion.

Siu Leung, with attention deficit disorder, has his own unique artistic expression. In his creation, Siu Leung is like a long-distance runner. The painting paper was the sport ground; the paint brush was the runner and the lines on the painting paper were the track. Whenever he paints, he will first locate a base point of the object he picks. Then his eyes and the brush will start to run: the eyes chase after the outline of the image and the brush will outline the trajectory he observes on another piece of paper. Even though the object painted is still, a sense of flowing is always felt as if it is hidden underneath, and it is a latent energy waiting to be released.

今次創作兆良以長洲太平清醮為創作主題，描繪了飄色巡遊、醒獅，還有掛滿平安包的包山，寄語大家健康平安。相信兆良醒目繽紛的畫面，亦讓您置身於喜慶歡樂之中。

兆良的專注力不足，反而不經意地成就了他獨特的繪畫方法。兆良畫畫時就像一場長跑，賽場是畫紙，運動員是他手上的筆，賽道就是畫面上的線條。他描畫任何事物，總會先選出一個定點，然後眼睛和畫筆就開始起跑，眼睛追蹤著圖像的輪廓線，畫筆在另一張紙上起步，勾劃軌跡，作品總是透露著動感和力量。
