KASING LUNG 龍家昇 | BINARY STAR 聯星

"The present work was inspired by the binary star, which is a star system consisting of two stars, one primary and one secondary, orbiting around their common center of mass. My original concept was to create the work from two skateboards, focusing on astronomy and physics, which are two subjects I personally enjoy a lot." - Kasing Lung

Kasing is a children's books illustrator based in Belgium. In 2011, he began to collaborate with local toy company How2work to release a range of 3D products based on characters in his illustrations. In 2013, "My Little Planet," his first Chinese-language illustrated storybook, was published in Taiwan. In 2014, "Lizzy Wil Dansen," a work created in collaboration with renowned author Brigitte Minne, was published by De Eenhoorn in Belgium to enthusiastic response. The book was subsequently translated into different languages and distributed throughout Europe and Asia.

In 2015, two Chinese-language titles from "The Monsters" series, "The Puca Story" and "Pato and the Girl," were published, along with collectible figures of the characters. To date, over 300 figures from the series have been created and widely adored by toy collectors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Southeast Asia.

「作品靈感來自聯星（Binary Star），由於聯星是由兩顆恆星所組成，並各自在軌道上圍繞著它們共同質量中心運轉的恆星系統，根據質量可以分為主星和伴星，因為由最初開始我希望構思創作一幅由兩塊滑板組成的作品，所以決定取自於我個人比較喜歡的天文物理題材作為主題，把這些元素融入我的畫作裡面。」── 龍家昇

Kasing現定居於比利時，從事兒童繪本創作，2011年開始與香港玩具創作品牌 How2work 合作，推出一系列繪本角色立體化產品。2013年在台灣推出首部個人華文繪本——「我的小星球My Little Planet」。2014年與比利時出版社獨角獸出版社（ De Eenhoorn） 及著名女作家布莉姬特．敏娜（Brigitte Minne）合作推出繪本系列——「Lizzy Wil Dansen」，推出後反應熱烈，目前已翻譯成不同的語文版本在歐洲及亞洲地區發行。

2015年起推出了兩部精靈故事的中文版黑白繪本 「布卡的故事」及「柏圖與少女」，並同期開發角色立體化公仔系列，至今已推出超過300多款The Monsters 不同系列的立體公仔，產品廣受中港台、日本及東南亞等地玩具迷喜愛。
