The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by Madame de la Ville Fromoit and Madame Christine Lenoir.

The work is in very good condition. The canvas is unlined. Some very light undulation to the canvas in the upper left and upper right corners. There is one half-inch loss to the pigment at the center of the right edge. Under UV light: a thick layer of varnish obscures the surface but no retouching is apparent.
