A pair of figures of this model mounted on Louis XV period gilt-bronze candelabra with porcelain flowers, was in the Patiño Collection, sold, Sotheby's New York, 31 October, 1987, lot 2. A further pair is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, gifted by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wrightsman.

Sotheby's Scientific Research department used noninvasive XRF for this lot to screen the green enamel for chromium, which was not detected.
