modeled after a Shang dynasty bronze ritual wine vessel form, the rounded body of oval section set over a waisted foot and rising to an elongated S-shaped mouth rim, the elevated end of the mouth extending to form the spout, the opposite end carved in openwork with an integral beast-form loop handle, the cover with a conforming S-curved lower rim and culminating in a bestial head above the spout with bovine facial features and horns and snail-like antennae, the stone a variegated spinach green with areas of russet, wood stand. 3 pieces.
