Historia general del Peru. Córdoba: Andres de Barrera, 1617, FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE (with title dated 1616), woodcut device on title, stamp removed from title, causing hole, repaired, some leaves cropped, some spotting and browning

Folio (260 x 185mm.), nineteenth-century roan-backed boards, slightly worn

An important source for the history of the conquest of the Inca Empire, written by a native of Cuzco, son of a conquistador and an Inca princess. The 1616 issue of the second part is of considerable rarity, as most copies bear the date of 1617.
