RARE BOTANICAL PUBLICATION WITH FINE HAND-COLOUR.
Pancrace Bessa (1772-1835) is recognised as one of the greatest French artists within the field of natural history. He was trained by Pierre-Joseph Redouté and collaborated with him on l'Histoire des arbres forestiers de l'Amerique septentrionale and Description des plantes rares cultivees a Malmaison et a Navarre.
