Condition Report

Overall the condition of both bronzes is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some rubbing to the patina in particular to the high points of both faces and to the chest of the priest. The statuette of the cow on the marble frame is slightly loose in the priest's hand but stable. There is some dryness to the patina in particular to the priest's back and the cow statuette. The staffs have been cast in sections and the individual pieces can rotate. The top joint of the scribe's staff is slightly twisted and the head of the sceptre is warped. There are some minor chips and abrasions to the edges of the marble socles. There is a small circular patch of wear to the reverse of both bases, a grip or handle may have been attached here previously.
