Condition Report

The following condition report has been provided by Jane McAusland ACR FIIC, Conservator and Restorer of Art on Paper:

Support

At present this watercolour on a paper of the period is fully attached to an overlay mount, so that the extreme edges are hidden.

The paper is in a good condition showing no paper staining or obvious physical damage.

Medium

The medium has a lot of delicate and quite atmospheric colour however the more delicate pigments have probably become slightly faded over the years. There is very minor retouching in a few places, these are almost invisible.
