In fair overall condition for an object of this type and age. The border running along the left and right sides of the painting have been replaced or reattached. The entire left side of the painting has been trimmed down, evident from the seam running along the side. The lower border has also been reattached or replaced as well. The border along the upper right corner both on the top and side showing considerable wear, abrasion and subsequent losses. From just above the center right running to the bottom on the right side of the painting, two large rectangular areas and a smaller one below have been either entirely replaced or taken from another area of the painting that was cropped from the original and re-affixed, as evident from the seams surrounding these areas. A smaller area of repair visible within the river along the right side above the center. The vertical seam running along the center of the painting is original. There is general wear, abrasion, flaking and subsequent losses throughout, as visible in the catalogue illustration. Two pieces of foam core are nailed to the back of the image.
