THE WALLED COURTYARD OF A VILLA WITH STATUES AND FIGURES

Tempera on paper laid down on panel

8 by 11¼ in.; 200 by 295 mm.

The sheet of vellum on which this work is executed is wrapped around an old panel backing. There are some old tears and losses to the four extremities of the sheet but these are not currently visible as the edges are covered with a small mount. There is some rubbing to the upper left corner and a small loss of gouache to the same area. There is a small tear to the vellum in the lower right corner, though much of this is covered by the current mount. There are some very small losses of gouache in places and some small areas of surface dirt however the overall image remains in predominantly good and stable condition throughout. Sold in a modern decorative giltwood frame. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
