A JEWELLED GOLD AND ENAMEL SOUVENIR D'AMITIÉ, PROBABLY FRENCH, LATE 19TH CENTURY


in 18th century taste, enamelled in translucent bleu du roi within opaque white dot and translucent green laurel borders applied with rose diamonds and small pearls, the front with oval medallion containing a rose diamond and paste urn, the reverse with initials: JL, the interior complete with ivory writing slips, gold pencil and scissors, apparently unmarked

8.4cm., 3¼in. high
