probably made for the Indian market in Moghul taste, of boteh form, the curved body and chained everted cap chased with and overall design of gold flowers on a scarlet basse-taille enamel ground, apparently unmarked

7cm; 2¾in. long

Some 40 years later the American firm of Tiffany & Co. were creating scent bottles of similar form and type of overall floral decoration but in silver for the mass market; see  John Loring, Tiffany’s 150 Years, New York, 1987, p. 73 for a flask with this type of decoration.
