ASTOR, NANCY, VISCOUNTESS

TYPED LETTER SIGNED, TO T. E. LAWRENCE ("DEAR COLONEL LAWRENCE")

offering to subscribe to The Seven Pillars of Wisdom ("...I am one of the people who are very wealthy and would like a copy of your book but I don't promise to read it..."), 1 page, 4to, headed stationery of 4 St. James' Square, S.W.1, 20 March 1924

Colonel Lawrence and Lady Astor would become friends and continue to correspond for the rest of his life.
