A DOCUMENT ESTABLISHING BRITAIN'S FIRST EMBASSY TO NAPOLEON. Charles Whitworth was appointed Ambassador to France following the Peace of Amiens, with James Talbot as his Secretary. The men arrived in Paris in November 1802.
