carved on each side with a figure of Eros standing with wings outspread, head turned back, and both arms extended to one side, probably to support a clipeus, a bow and quiver at his feet on one side, a quiver on the other; no restorations.
53 by 43 cm.

Note losses to ledge on one side and to right edge on the other.
Side without bow carved in shallower relief and with slightly less detail than other side.
Incrustation and root marks. Holes and channels for ancient metal clamps visible in three places.
Several holes fitted with metal sleeves on underside, from a prior mount. Object now mounted on a single central support.
