Executed on cream wove paper and not laid down, the sheet is hinged to the mount along the upper edge. The sheet is slightly unevenly cut along the upper and left edges, and is deckled along the right edge. There are artist's pinholes in places along the upper edge. There are some small flecks of loss to some of the thicker areas of gouache in the right hand figure's clothing. There are some creases to the sheet in places and there is a small loss in the lower edge towards the lower left corner. There are some handling marks throughout and there is some surface dirt and studio matter. The work is in overall good condition.
