The stem shaped as a vine on which a lumberjack is climbing, the finial shaped as a Renaissance soldier holding a spear in his left hand, engraved later with monogram BC below a coronet on the foot and inside cover.

This cup can be compared with another one, missing it’s cover, in the Kremlin Museum, offered by the Low-Countries to Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in 1648. This cup, made in London in 1589, is clearly influenced by German models.
