Carl Graeb was a successful painter of architectural and landscape views, and his patrons included King Wilhelm IV, for whom he painted several views of Sans-Souci. His son Paul Graeb (see previous lot) was also a painter of architectural views.
Carl Graeb fut un peintre d'architecture et de paysage réputé qui exécuta de nombreuses vues, extérieures et intérieures, du château de Sans-Souci pour le roi de Prusse Guillaume IV. Son fils, Paul Graeb (voir lot précédent), fut également peintre d'architecture.
