A George III mahogany pedestal desk, late 18th century, attributed to Gillows
the gilt-tooled green leather inset top above an arrangement of nine drawers to each side, the central frieze drawer to each side fitted with a baize lined hinged writing surface, the drawers with inlaid ivory letters, one side sun-bleached
79cm. high, 184cm. wide, 94cm. deep; 31in., 72½in., 37in.
This lot contains ivory. Due to recent changes in the laws of many countries (e.g.
US, France) Sotheby's recommends that buyers check with their own government
