A nice example. The top possibly re-polished and warped but seemingly original. There are some watermarks to the top in the form of black ring marks. Old age crack at dowel at the top of one leg where it joins the frieze - and probably repaired at this site. The piece is sturdy and solid. There are minor old chips to carved details of turned legs. There are typical old marks and scratches throughout. Fragmenting to tips of feet and evidence of old worm, this wear is typical and the result of many centuries on bare floors. Rich colour throughout.
