4to (14 1/4 x 10 1/8 in.; 360 x 255 mm). 20 hand-colored aquatint plates engraved by J.H. Clark and C. Dubourg after Charles D'Oyly, text watermarked 1822 and 1823, each plate accompanied by one or two leaves of letterpress description; a few repaired closed marginal tears, plates IX and XI with repaired closed tears near the margin of the plates, plate VI bound before IV, but all present, some light foxing. Modern full brown goat, boards decoratively bordered in gilt.
First edition of D'Oyly's collection of drawings of British India.
