one with the orange and black sash of the order interwoven with berried laurel and centring a star with the motto in Russian ‘For Service & Bravery’, the handle moulded in imitation of a rose branch and with a rose blossom terminal; the other with the sash or the order and bands of laurel leaves on a gilt scale-patterned ground, the cover with a finial moulded as a squirrel, with blue factory marks
