the cavetto depicting an officer on horseback galloping through the streets of St Petersburg, after L. Belousov, painted by N.Yakovlev, the border with gilt ciselé laurel wreaths, double-headed eagles, and trophies and helmets of the regiment, the reverse dated and inscribed 'Sous-Officier noble de l’Escadron de la Garde des Montagnards du Caucase / N.Yakovlev', with blue Imperial Cypher of Nicholas I
