Odalisque

signed in Latin t.l.

pastel on canvas

Canvas: 112.5 by 49cm, 44¼ by 19¼in.

Framed: 147.5 by 66cm, 58¼ by 26in.

The work is executed on a very finely woven canvas which is nailed to a wooden stretcher. The canvas has worn through in several places at the edges. It is ever so slightly buckling around the signature and to the left of her feet. There is a fleck of dirt by her ankle, otherwise in very good overall condition. Framed and glazed.
