The arms are those of Fawcett, as borne by Christopher John Foyle Fawcett of Somerford Keynes, Wiltshire and of Branton and Bingfield, Northumberland. He served as High Sheriff of the latter in 1885 and died unmarried in 1904.
A Paul Storr octafoil tray of the same design and year, but with handles, sold Christie's, New York, October 23, 2000, lot 353. It was formerly in the Lillian and Morrie Moss Collection of Paul Storr Silver, cat. p. 88 pl. 30.
