designed by Howard Reichenbach for Chase Brass & Copper Co., Waterbury, CT

chrome-plated metal and bakelite

height of shaker 11 1/2 in.; height of cups 2 in.

This shaker, known as the "Gaiety" was designed by Howard Reichenbach. The patent for this piece was applied for on October 6th 1933, and the approval was received August 7th 1934. Together with the cups, and also available with a tray, it was marketed as the "Holiday Cocktail Set": "Entirely modern in appearance, it retains all the desirable features of old-fashioned shakers."
