The full sheets, in good condition (F. & S. II.11 in generally good condition), occasional slight scuff marks (most only visible in a raking light), some slight creasing at sheet edges as is common with this paper, pale backboard-staining, each sheet hinged tightly to backboard and framed. *(Each verso partially examined).

Imperfections to individual sheets include:


F. & S. II.11: A partially repaired tear at centre of upper sheet edge just extending into the image (measuring approx. 5.5cm), a pale water stain in lower image, a few further tears, nicks and creases mostly at sheet edges, some with associated ink-cracking, a small loss at lower left corner, a pale water stain at upper left sheet edge.


F. & S. II.11A: A pale, linear scuff mark along upper sheet edge. (A hairline imperfection below the cow's left ear is inherent to printing).


F. & S. II.12A: A crease near lower sheet edge with associated inconsistencies in the ink (measuring approx. 14cm).
