The last service to be commissioned from the Imperial Porcelain Factory, the Purple service was intended for the royal residence at Tsarskoye Selo. Reserved for ceremonial occasions, the pieces are decorated with elegant landscapes based on drawings by the Imperial Porcelain Factory’s head of the decorating workshops, Emile Kremer.
