Ingagi (1930) Poster, US
Unframed: 22 x 14 in. (56 x 36 cm)
Framed: 28 x 19 in. (71 x 48.2 cm)
Very few posters exist on this film from 1930.
Ingagi is an exploitation film, although when released, it claimed to be a documentary about Sir Hubert Winstead's expedition to the Belgian Congo, in which he encounters a tribe of gorilla-worshiping women. The film is pre Hays Code, and sold itself very much on its nudity and suggested sexual content. It was a success when released, and it is thought that this film was one of the reasons why RKO invested in King Kong (1933).
