This large billboard poster was printed in two sheets, and designed to be pasted onto billboards. Therefore only unused examples survived. This poster is one of the key science fiction pieces from the 1950s, and one of the most desirable.

It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures. Fewer than fifteen of these posters have surfaced in the past twenty years.

Forbidden Planet is one of the most cherished sci-fi classic films of all time. It is based on Shakespeare's The Tempest. The film was directed by Fred M. Wilcox, and stars Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis and Leslie Nielsen. It is also notable for introducing cinema goers to Robby the Robot, one of the most famous robots ever to appear on the silver screen.
