This early horror film was directed by Rouben Mamoulian, and stars Fredric March, who won his first Academy Award for his brilliant performance. The film is an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 book 'The Strange Case of Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde'. March plays Dr. Jeykll - a kind English doctor, who tests out his new drug, which unleashes his inner demons, and turns him into the homicidal madman Mr. Hyde.
