DOG DAY AFTERNOON (1975) INTERNATIONAL POSTER, US

SIGNED BY AL PACINO

41 x 27 in. (104 x 69 cm)

This crime drama was directed by Sidney Lumet, and stars Al Pacino, John Cazale, James Broderick, and Charles Durning. It was inspired by a real-life bank robbery in the early 1970s. The robbery took place in order to fund a sex-change operation for his trans wife. The title of the film refers to the hottest days of summer - dog days. Pacino gives a great performance and was nominated for an Oscar. The film is notable for having no musical score, with the exception of three diegetic/source songs.

This piece was signed by Al Pacino at the premiere of Righteous Kill in London's Leicester Square. It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures.
