Woodcut, 1515, a good, delicate impression of the fourth or fifth edition (of eight), with the fine crack in the block through the hindlegs, but before it appears in the forelegs, on paper with an Eagle in a Shield Surmounted by a Fleur-de-Lys watermark (cf. Meder 39), framed

Trimmed to the borderline, in good condition, with minor, skilful repairs at each corner and a couple of associated touches of pen and ink, touches of pen and ink in the subject's eye, very short tears in places along the upper and lower sheet edges and a minute loss at the lower sheet edge, the verso with a couple of small, pale stains just showing through recto, several inconspicuous pin holes and minor thinned areas, framed. (A vertical drying fold and stray printer's ink are inherent to production). (Most gaps in the borderline filled in with printer's ink, as is common).
