Many of the flowers in this painting may also be found in another work by Simon Hardimé.1 A very similar composition is found in York Art Gallery, in a canvas catalogued as Studio of Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer (Simon Hardimé's great influencer), though which in all probability is also by Simon.2
