The uncradled panel is flat and stable. The paint surface is relatively clean and the varnish clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light is impeded by the varnish, which fluoresces entirely opaquely - with the naked eye it is just possible to discern some small retouchings in the upper margin, but the painting is apparently otherwise in very good condition.
