We are grateful to Dr. Alberto Crispo for proposing the attribution to Cusati, on the basis of digital images. A larger variant of this composition (188.5 x 274 cm.) with minor differences, was sold London, Sotheby's, 6 July 2000, lot 199, as one of a pair (as Nicola Casissa).1
