Significant areas of repainting, not to mention the regilded background, make a firm attribution for this triptych difficult to establish. Close comparison may be drawn, however, with the design found in Gaddi's panels depicting the Flagellation and Resurrection in San Miniato al Monte, Florence;1 and in several depictions of the Crucifixion, such as that in the Musée du Petit Palais, Avignon (inv. no. 20166).2
