In overall good conserved condition. The gilt-bronze in good condition, very light tarnishing and rubbing in some areas, especially to the female caryatids. The veneer in good condition, very minor scratches. For about 4cm. along the bottom left edge of the fall front, there is some chipping to veneer. Below, the edges at the top right of the left drawer and at the top left of the right drawer: signs of veneer losses which have now been refilled. The edges at the back right handside of the secretaire with very minor chipping.

The leather writing surface with very few scratches.

The marble top in good condition, very minor scratches, as well as chipping to edges, all to be expected.
