A rare specimen of this attractive, deeply orange-red meteorite, resembling a geode in form. Presented on a custom stand, and marked with an old inventory number.
Discovered 1875 by Goncalves da Rosa on the island of São Francisco in Brazil, it is estimated to have collided with Earth about 70-110 million years ago, creating a 12-kilometer crater in the area of Vargeao in present-day Santa Catharina.
