This petrified natural sculpture measures 44 x 24 ½ inches (111.8 x 62.2 cm).

An attractive petrified wood log that was cut and trimmed from a larger log found near Arizona's Petrified Forest National Park. The exterior surface is almost entirely covered with petrified bark, which is an extreme rarity as the softer material is not often preserved. Also noteworthy is the presence of a highly desirable preserved knot located near the base.

The top portion of this log section has been polished to reveal the preserved formation of the tree's growth rings, accented in colors of orange, ochres, black with splashes of yellow.
