We are grateful to the Estate of the Artist for their kind assistance with the cataloguing of the present work.

Original canvas. The work appears to be in very good overall condition.

A few minute spots of frame abrasion to the extreme edges with some associated minor pigment loss largely not visible in the present frame. One or two very small areas of craquelure, including to the white pigment towards the centre and to the brown horizontal area below centre. Some instances of flattening to impasto tips. Some very light surface dirt and a few minute specks of staining and matter to the work in places. Some instances of minor reticulation including in the lower right quadrant.

Ultraviolet light reveals a few spots of possible fluorescence retouching to the lower half of the right edge, and at the centre of the lower edge.

The work is presented in a wooden frame, held under glass.
